Just picked up this years college football for the PS2. To be honest, not really worth it. The gameplay is nearly identical as last years. The key differences are a few more "slow mo" in play highlights, especially on defense. Kick return has a new camera, supposedly "1st person" or something like it, but I find it incredibly annoying, as you can't see your available running lanes to the sides, only whats dead ahead. You can also take this view to try and block kicks, but I don't find it all the useful. If anyone actually blocks a kick using it let me know.
There is a new kicking mechanism as well, if anyone has ever played Tigerwoods golf, its idential to swinging the club.
The campus legend feature is okay, but not worth the price as its basically the same as heisman mode. If the load screens were faster, it would be more enjoyable.
One thing about the game that I do think is a great improvement, is that during dynasty modes, you can practice with your current team. Which is nice, becuase previously you could only practice with the stock teams and rosters that came with the game. There is also a spring game which is a good chance to try out your new players if you have doubts over who to start.
