progressive420 your list its a pretty one, but I'll do some changes Mr. Digweed obviously on number one, and on number two of course Hernan Cattaneo.

Dont confuse the flowing locks for being a trannie. He's not. Ophra is a nick name many of us call him.

Is Ophra a guy or girl.

I just noticed Anthony Pappa isn't even up there... unreal... in my opinion... but i guess your right... i haven't heard of him coming to Canada in quite sometime... i loved his last performance here in toronto though... i've never seen anyone with more upfront material than that guy... he really knows how to put on a show also... one of my fav's for sure.

u have to think who the hell votes.

maybe we should start up our own poll to get a better idea of the lay of the land -> http://www.mercuryserver.com/forums/...ad.php?t=33703

i totally agree... anyone who has ever seen Danny Howells know's he should be up there in at least the top 25... i'm surprised i didn't see Sander Klienenberg... even though i think he took a bit of a break... he's a really great Dj.

well, this year's top100 poll, was just like the last years, trance all the way, all other great djs were left out
i guess with the internet developing more every year, more people have the chance to vote every year and like they say, trance is for the crowds, i dont really understand why, but from what i see in these polls, it's really the crowds choice
anyways, i'm sure wherever danny tenaglia, sasha, digweed, zabiela, yunus, or any other dj that i like will be in this poll, i wont go to see cristopher lawrence or amadeus or anderson noise, just because they managed to get into this poll
i too would rather have this poll split into genders of electronic music, it's a shame to see cristopher lawrence or amadeus? before steve lawler, it's just not nice

    90. AXEL KARAKASIS ? New Entry
    93. AXWELL ? New Entry

Personally have a few Anderson Noise & Karakasis tracks
    good minimal tech stuff.

As for DQ's response: What, after a day, no trance bashing? Oh wait, it's because I didn't start this thread Trance bashing is so 2005

Digweed watching Ophra Nissim - Palamachim Beach Summer 05

But this is a fine example of why this poll sucks - Nissim plays in Israel, plus he's been playing regularly in Paris, but clearly nowhere near enough to have him so highly placed in the poll; however his productions - faggy house (although speaking as a fag myself, they do nowt for me) clearly is what has got him so high up in the poll. Obviously the people who voted have never seen him live - we had the misfortune back in March at a two day event (Digweed headlined Saturday - Nissim Friday) - Nissim was absolutly terrible. I remember my youth club days in the early 80's; the dj's were far more technically minded and all they did is put one on, take one off!!!!

And for those that care. . . this is Skazi

He closed for Diggers in Eilat back in march - thank god we were wasted, thats all i can say. Psy-Trance never was my thing.

whether the list is retarded or not we all know its a popularity contest ... maybe next year it would be as laughable as http://www.thedjlist.com/djs/

Give it some thought MS, it would be a great community building tool.

Note: My one positive out of this years DJ Mag poll: Sporter finally getting the recognition he deserves.
yeah sure we can be a great test market for prog and house, but unfrotunately the scene includes more then just that. What about trance, breaks, drum n bass, etc. If you are going to do a top DJ poll you need to include all DJ's or it is biased.
