When prog doesn't sound long-winded and boring anymore.

When, to you, the scene actually is "all about the music".

you know you're obsessed when you gotta take a shit so big, but you're almost finished with a 4 hour digweed/beirut quesheet.

it's true, i had to take the biggest dump, but i was so excited to get the set, i just wanted to finished the cuesheet and post it on ms.

I knew that I was obsessed with music when i quit a 30K year job just to move to a city where i could go see my favorite Dj' while i only make 15k a year now.

you pass up hanging with a girl because you're *so* close to finishing a track...

you have no proper 'dining table' in your apartment/house, instead you use that for your turntables...

vinyl takes up half of your living room...

you go to clubs and are watching the dj's hands and more concerned with finding out what track he played with the sick bassline than meeting girls or getting drunk...

you won't take a 5 minute drive without burning a cd of a new mix your buddy sent you to put in the car...

your car radio has never actually used the radio (only cd's)...

you'll spend a rediculous amount on vinyl/going out to see dj's spin/new equipment, but your fridge is empty because you have no money for food (ah another week of mac and cheese and hot dogs)...

Damn It! I am all these. Except I have my decks setup in my bedroom instead of the living room. I am such a music junkie.
