To be honest with you I don't know you...I don't know her...i don't know how long you were together and how close you were. I am not going to say I know how you feel because I think its different for everyone of us but I have been there in a way...
In my opinion if your were together long enough (by the way you talk about her it seems you have)...things are not over!!!
It has been my experience that break ups which happen for no particular reason i.e. things are not working out usually don't last for long.
If you were right for her and she for you...you WILL get back together. After a small period of time (a week or two) she will not remember why it all ended...you may need to remind her of all the good times you must have had and all the things that bring you together...if this is done subtly it won't look like your desperate or wrong. If you do get back together as I am inclined to believe you must make sure you are the best for her and she will most likely feel that and will return in the same way.
The advice to get with someone else immediately is wrong in my opinion as she will more likely than not find out and more importantly if you love her it won't even cross your mind (at least for a while).
To conclude keep your head up and don't despair at least for a while...if there is no change in the horizon in the next two to three weeks max than you will know that she didn't really love you as much as you loved her...also it might help to try and see things from her perspective and try to amend yourself where you find it needed, not just to get back with her but more importantly to make yourself a better person.
I really honestly hope things work out between you because it would be a true shame if you really belonged and she failed to realize that.Leave a comment:

there are a few billion people on the planet, you will love again, fail again, and love some more. true love isnt simply found, true attraction, maybe. real love is built, ripped down and built again on the good things you share with a respect for the differences. take a few weeks, chill, re-set your priorities, and get back on the horse. go out and make it a challenge to yourself, just force yourself to talk to people, random strangers, women if you are straight, and who knows, even if you dont find a partner, you might find some friends.Leave a comment:

listen, i went to catholic school all my life, and during one year, we spent a long time discussing what real love meant to people. and my teacher came up with all these debates, al these scenarios that we see play out in front of us on a daily basis, the good and bad, great times and bad times, and one day he came out with this semi-conclusion that for some reason stuck with me my entire life.obviously during my work tip i was a mess. normally i could accept it. but we both still love each other. and even though things have been difficult, i never saw it as a solution. if we both love each other, and care for each other, why cant we stay together? it just doesnt seem right.
if you really love someone, to the point where you fought for that person tooth and nail, but in the end, you werent compatible enough to maintain a relationship, do you love that person enough to say goodbye, to stop the pain you cause them? that is the ultimate love and respect, the love to walk away for the betterment of thier mind, heart, and soul.-- brother joseph genovese. chaminade high school. Yeah, man, the passage of time is really the only true medicine. It's never fun. Agree with what Kamal said, too -- if you want there to be any chance of getting back together, you have to set her free and let her do her thing. If it's meant to be, she'll be back eventually. You have to actually let her go, though, not pretend to let her go but really lie in wait for her to return. Otherwise, that whole "passage of time" thing won't work as well.
