Re: Boredom with Reason
yeah and with overdub, i definitely don't need that many knobs. Cause some of the knobs have already been "Virtually" used.Comment

Re: Boredom with Reason
i guess it depends on what ur wanting to control with it but i can see your pointComment

Re: Boredom with Reason
yeah i can't imagine making music so complex that one would need that many knobs. 8 is enough for me, but I love the pads on the M-Audio controller. They can help with making interesting drum patterns.Comment

Re: Boredom with Reason
well i got bored with reason too.. but by flipping the rack their are many interesting things you can do... i am a synth guy myself, but when i did use samples i did not like using reason... i love being able to cut and fuck w/ audio right in the sequencer window and add efx at will. but reason can be pretty cool when you really experiment with cabling different stuff together with the rack... if you want to know more i will do a little tutorial when i have a minDon't get me wrong. I think Reason is an excellent producing program, but I can not manipulate the sounds to my preference. I am limited to the samples that come with version 3.0. I was wondering if anyone knows of any other producing programs that are more advanced. Please let me know. Thanks for your time.

Re: Boredom with Reason
i wonder if the guy has ever watched the video tutorial that comes with the program. it has some good stuff on it. I'm sure there has gotta be tutorial vids on youtube. But I would really like to hear and see your thoughts on turning the program inside out.Comment

Re: Boredom with Reason
I use Reason all the time, to produce and for live performances. I don?t like the soundbanks that come with the program; don?t like how they sound, and everybody uses them. So, I have my own samples and percusions, and I use an Alesis controller. Nice and versatile. Alesis Photon X-25

Re: Boredom with Reason
while the arp/latch feature is nice and probably long overdue on a midi/usb controller.
come on' akai, make something with a XY touchpad, and some sort of automap like the novation SLComment

Re: Boredom with Reason
i'm waiting to find out about price too. But right now i'm more interesting in getting a guitar synth to help me in my controlling of Midi, as I can play guitar much better than piano.Comment
