Ah, GU has learned the art of double dipping.
We release a CD first and then later tack on a special second CD, but the only way to get that second CD is to buy the whole special package. You can't get that second CD by itself

They do this all the time for DVD's, they release a simple dvd version with a few extras and then with all intentions a few months later they release a new special extra super duper ultimate edition DVD. The know the super fans will gobble up all available DVD version of their favorite movies. Look at how they released all there Lord of the Rings movies on DVD...

I too like cd1 much (especially in my car).
Saw him on his promotional tour in Antwerp and it was great although I stayed clean and sober that night

    Involver cd2 will be a nice 'add-on'

Totally agree. I wasn't impressed with their special edition reissue of GU 25 (with only 1 extra track even - that fucking Let's Get Up and Let's Get Ill).

My brothers got me a poncy signed pillow pack when he played 3-Beat records ... now I have an excuse to buy Involver without all the gay packaging.

Pity [ms] got rid of the auction page ... I could have flogged it to another board-member (that is, if there are any other Simon's here !).

I agree that it's much better when the DJ puts in the time to make something original. Still, give GU the credit they deserve, they really revolutionized the mixed cd market, and have offered some really solid releases. They have stuck to their original formula, and you can't blame them for it. Besides, not everyone knows about [ms] (thank god)

The vinyl version doesn't even have four more Involver tracks - you get two more and two remixes that have been around for ten years. There will probably be another vinyl release in a while a couple more...
