Did you know-

An easy way to tell if an egg is fully hard boiled is to spin it on the countertop and then stop it and let go. If it moves after you let go, it's not done, if it remains stopped, it's done.

oxygen is the most abundant element in the human body per mass.

don't try this one. I did and indeed it does leave you with shiny shoes until the banana peel stuff dries on your shoes (no matter how hard you try to remove access banana gunk and it's impossible to remove all of it) it leaves white crusty stuff on your shoes, ruined a very expensive pair of dress shoes doing this.

the reason there are 18 holes in golf:

During a discussion among the club's membership board at St. Andrews in 1858, a senior member pointed out that it takes exactly 18 shots to polish off a fifth of scotch. By limiting themselves to only one shot per hole, they determined that a round of golf was finished when the scotch ran out.

also, the word golf was derived from an acronym of - Gentlemen Only Ladies Forbidden as the game of golf was only to be played by men.
