just updated mine a couple hours ago too. new Call of Duty 4 multiplayer maps are coming out in 2-3 weeks on the playstation store too they were pending this store update before getting released so any time now

btw here today a new upgrade for PS3 came out bringing 2.20 to 2.30 and I just saw an update for GT5 as well.

Let's rather play GTA IV online when we both have it. That if a european console allows gaming with USA..this is something I am still not sure of but we will find out.

Did you have better luck the second time around?

I can tell tomorrow. The 1st one worked for one day as well. The 2nd one they shipped is much more silent though so I a assume the 1st one had a fan problem directly from the start.

The european version comes without HDMI cable for sure..ripoff imo to sell a HD device but only put a frigging Scart cable in the package. I have ordered a random HDMI cable for 7,50 Euro though...where do they cost 100? Even the "official" PS3 HDMI "only" costs 20 euros here. About spare time...yes..might be. It was anyways nice to meet you folks online but by Wednesday I will be history on [ms] and lock myself in the cellar.

I bought my system from Circuit City (an electronic store chain here in the states for those of you who arent familar with it) and right next to the systems they had this monster cable HDMI cable. I didnt buy it though, I just use the component cable I had for my PS2 and it works great. Other than having to run seperate audio cables I personally can't tell much difference.

Received my replacement PS3 today..at least Amazon was damn quick with shipping a new one to me. Now trying again with GT5.

There was a good indicator that the PS3 is going to be available in silver here in the states soon. The DS3 has been showing up in stores in black AND silver.
