things like that happen. one night i was fucked up on tequila when my girlfriend phoned me from her friends house that was a 5 min drive away wanting me to pick her up. so i get in my unregistered car, not listening to the warnings my friends gave me, and went to get my girlfriend. long story short-a cop ran my plates pulled me over and sat me in the back of his car for about 45 min(while i was right pissed) asking me questions and then called a tow truck and made me walk. It didnt sink in for about an hour, then i finally realised how lucky i had gotten.

things like this and what you describe happen. maybe the cop got layed before work, who knows?
