I remember dancin next to Sasha in the Hac, he was shitin it caus he was following Mike Pickering up in the box. Down to earth northerner hope he does get the grammy. Those underground sets at shellys when the bouncers had to take the decks away so that every would go home, they will never be forgoten!!

Yeah you can remix on the fly whic really cool but the fun part of djing is being able to spin good tracks and altering them ur way. Plus I think computers take the mixing out the picture also. So a dj can just pick 20 trakcs and put them in a order so they sound good and just cover it with effects. What is the point. Bad move by sasha. Just my opinion though.

    I call it progression

Not only does he deserve it, why wouldn't he want it? That recognition sells cd's. He's done so much for the music and for the kids on the floor.
I do miss the 100% vinyl sets though.

As for the lap top thing ... just imagine - 30,000 tunes accessible at the touch of a button - at least it will stop those posts about repetition and lack of originality
i totaly agree, he diserves the nomination, even if grammys are not really based on good dance music, but comercial one
still its an award and he diserves it and i m sure he wants it

People tend be afraid of what they don't know, i mean afterall it's the music that's more important then the way it's delivered imo.

We could hear great things in the time to come, look at what live remixing does for JZ's sets.

And i don't think turntables will go out of the picture so soon, i think that the pc/mac will just be an addition... there are so many dj's who don't work with computers in their sets yet.

I don't think it will happen overnight so there's nothing to worry about i see only good things comming

Sasha is overground for many years now... No need to deny that. Nothing wrong with it either.
