Related anecdote: The first time I ever saw Digweed was at Durham University in 2004, and Steve Gerrard warmed up for him Quality night; Digs played mostly the tunes from his and Sasha's EM from Wild in the Country the weekend before. Mismoplastico, Strobelight Silhoeutte, Some Velvet Morning, etc all destroying the place. The addiction began that night

We had to bribe some students to get into the Liverpool University date of the tour ... at least it was £1 a pint !

This release was mastered direct from vinyl at the request of the DJ and as such features natural sound characteristics of this medium such as record surface noise.

Ah yeah, it must have been NUS-only at the Durham gig too. I bought a special wristband to ensure that I could get down to the main ballroom, such was the expected demand. It was worth your having to bribe some of the students though? And as you say - the ridiculously low drinks prices would have made it worthwhile
I was mostly into trance, Markus Schulz-esque music, and wasn't sure if I'd enjoy Digweed's sound - I even downed a bottle of wine beforehand, so my memory of the night itself is somewhat hazy Had a great time though, and hoped that it was the Durham gig he'd broadcast on the Kiss show, Christmas 2004
