Production Beatportal Master Class in Production

[jeffrey collins]

It's not really a master class because master classes don't teach you basic things. But it looks nice for those just beginning music composition/production.

Some good discussion there. Never new that Beatport even had that part of their site.

Re: Beatportal Master Class in Production

Oh yeah Beatportal is a killer site.

But if you really wanna learn about music production, Beatportal is the last place I would look. The first would be youtube, as there are TONS of tutorials on there. Google video too...that's where I found the videos of D.Ramirez, Sandy Rivera, Booka Shade and more.

Re: Beatportal Master Class in Production

Just a side note. If you want some nice tutorials on using production techniques. Computer Music Magazine has a special issue on LOGIC and all the cool things you can do with it. I bought it even though I use Ableton, but have found that their techniques can be used with any program, you just won't have their plugins to get the sound with.

Where are you at. I'm in Columbus Ohio and I get the magazines at Barnes and Noble, they just cost like $16-19.
