    get a dvd writer.
a zip disk would be crazy as you'd have to buy 800 of them to store all that data. which would end up costing you roughly $7,000 USD. with that you could buy 3 1-terabyte harddrives.

and like tom said go to mercuryengine for further help.

I'd like to see you put those 100CDs worth onto 100Meg zip disks.

I would go for an external HD. Maxtor has a line of great external harddrives with their one touch feature and a very easy to use software in case you want to make an image of all your data files.

Help with external hard drives and zip drives...

Hey all, I have about 100 compact discs filled to the brim with sets and music from about 1997 to the present. I am sure some of you have the same problem of too much music and nowhere to put it. So for those of you who archive all the Kiss 100 sets, etc. how do you organize and store all these endless gigs of music? Should I get an external hardrive? Or how bout a zip drive?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated...

    Thanks
Working...
