My current headphones....the hdj -1000 are sufficient for me but the next pair I will be getting are the 2000...for various reasons eg the cup size, frequency response and impedance etc...but I won't need to get a new pair for a while so I can save some money and I am sure the price will drop soon after the holidays...

yeah i'm not too much on paying more than 150 for headphones. Hell the Ultrasones I got for 99$ and they are amazing sounding. Looking forward to using them for my next dj gig. But they sounded really good for my last ableton mix.

Jeff they are really good mate, i've had the Sony v700 and HDJ 1000 whcih were both rubbish. Borrowed my mates sennheiser's for over a year, which were the best headphones i've ever monitored on.
The HDJ 2000 are mind blowing, far better than sennheiser's imo.
Hope your well, love yah tunes!
Still can't justify right now paying nearly 300 for a pair IMO...when I get a pair of Technics or the like for a third of the price.
