take it easy, lol, I'm not against people owning guns..I've heard of the 2nd amendment.. just because you are allowed to own a gun doesn't mean you have to.. if it's for protection, fair enough, I dont blame you if you feel the need to be protected.. im just saying the way some of the posts are coming across you'd think you live in the old west, this bravado of owning a gun for protection is the same sort of attitude that will get you in trouble with said gun

Most of us Americans do, and apparently you do as well, otherwise you wouldn't be arguing about it in here. The funny part is how you say it doesn't change how the world works....It does since you all are bitching at us because we have an amendment that protects us.


The common sense here is that if the government ever decides to use law enforcement or the military against us, we have an obligation to fight back with the means necessary and granted to us by the 2nd amendment. This is our check and balance. Sorry if your view is too myopic to grasp that.

But you want to speak of common sense. Here's the real Common Sense, written by Thomas Paine, another enlightenment thinker who helped jumpstart the Constitution. Maybe you want to look into John Locke as he influenced James Madison. The sad part is, you know fuck all about how this nation was created and you're going to preach to us about what works and what doesn't.
