    Free Multi-IM Multi-Platform Chat Program

Have been using Pidgin ever since I first ran into it on Ubuntu and only recently discovered it's multi-platform as well. Now I use it on my windows too and I just love the thing

Pidgin :: Pidgin, the universal chat client
    http://www.pidgin.im/
Pidgin is a chat program which lets you log into accounts on multiple chat networks simultaneously. This means that you can be chatting with friends on XMPP and sitting in an IRC channel at the same time. Pidgin runs on Windows, Linux, and other UNIX-like operating systems. Looking for Pidgin for macOS? Try Adium! Pidgin is compatible with the following chat networks out of the box: Jabber/XMPP, Bonjour, Gadu-Gadu, IRC, Novell GroupWise Messenger, Lotus Sametime, SILC, SIMPLE, and Zephyr. It can support many more with plugins.

I won't be back until next Tuesday, so if Get Carter is the correct answer, I would appreciate of someone else posts a new cap for me

I haven't tried google but considering multiple MSN accounts work (I am using mine) no reason to believe google wont.

I always preferred Trillian on Windows.

                                      Doesn't feel as polished IMO.
