The reason these lists are so 'shit' is because the people who think its so 'shit' don't vote, or not enough of them vote because they write it off as a popularity contest.
No shit its a popularity contest, they have the DMC awards for those who want to be judged on their technical ability and only about a dozen from those 250 would be able to even compete.

I bet this has been said 100 times before, it is not a skill thing, it is a popularity contest (which is very important for a dj, to be popular, if you want gigs), I heard the majority of the voters were from the USA so it helped for the djs that has had a lot of gigs in the states.

Please remember its not a 'Top 100 talented Dj's list' - if it was people like pappa,digweed,zabiela would be up there as they are technically so talented.

Its blatantly just a reflection of what is popular worldwide - if a 15 year old kis hears benny bennassi-satisfaction and then decides to vote in dj mag,hes probably going to vote for benny b if he liks the song(especially if hes never even heard of james Z)
