Re: Pirate Bay guilty
i think that pretty much sums it up on how people get music these days since the internet/download boom and with internet people actually discover more music than they ever would have if we had gone thru the old conventional ways of hanging out at the record store on new release dayAnywho... if it weren't for bit torrent, I wouldn't have discovered so many different genres of music, new talent, new artists... its mind blowing what you can find there..
not to mention the countless bootlegs, rarities, demos etc that are never released as albums to buy...
If I like what I hear I support the artist.. its that simple. I don't like it, I get rid of it.
the funny thing is that since day 1 the big money corporations (i.e RIAA, MPAA or whoever thats pursuing the lawsuits) never did embrace the internet and think of new ways of making use of the internet to make the money that they claim that they lost and they never once look within and come to terms with the fact that people are not buying CDs are not because of the internet but because of the crap that they put out (i.e the paris hilton album or That's What I Call Hip Hop Vol. 236475)Leave a comment:

I can never be bothered with downloading movies. I'm on Love Film so I just get them from there. I like to watch them on my TV not sat at my PC, I spend enough time there as it is.Leave a comment:

Re: Pirate Bay guilty
Who fould follow uk law, they are well dated:
UK copyright laws "needlessly criminalise" music fans and need to be updated, a consumer watchdog says.
UK laws that make it a copyright violation to copy a CD that you own onto a computer or iPod should be changed, says Consumer Focus.Leave a comment:

Re: Pirate Bay guilty
I guess most of the people involved in these legal procedures don't really fully undestand this phenomena. Free flow of information is here to stay. Trying to shut down pyrate bay looks to me as a symbolic action, they cannot hold back the avalanche!
Even if the site gets shut down, there are many other... not to mention all those more discret p2p programs without ads and pubiclity. You guys know that

That's why I love those countries up there. They are soo against a lot of the laws our country has. Like the RIAA.Leave a comment:

Re: Pirate Bay guilty
the judgement is based on pressure from American Corporate money ... if the Swedish has it ways with their law the sentence would probably not stick after appealLeave a comment:
