Hey ms,

hence my name, i actually quite enjoy pipe smoking... they are attempting to stamp out my hobby, which is totally kickass - no im not ignorant to its dangers, but i still choose to do it anyway. imo its safer and better than hard core cigarette smoking.

i heard once some dude say "some say they have an inner child - i guess i have an inner old man"

would those of you who arent against smoking tobacco please do me a favor and fill out this bill to stop this law change?

I would really appreciate it.

No offense, but this seems fair and legit to me. It's not a ban on smoking, its a drastic increase on the tobacco tax, which is long over due IMO. For the amount the government shells out to medicaid and medicare for tobacco related health issues, the tax MUST be higher so that the system doesn't go broke. The bill is not saying you can't smoke, its saying that if you are going to engage in an activity that is going to cost taxpayers buckets of money later, you have have to be prepared to pay more to do it.

I'm not saying don't smoke, find your pleasure how ever you like, and I can agree that 775% is a BIG jump all at once...but something has to been done to even the ledger at the end of the day.

try vaporizing. u still get the taste and buzz from your chosen plant but no carcinogens. i am all about the volcano vaporizer made by Storz&Bickell in Germany. I know its an investment but in my opinion, no price is too high for your health!
