    Re: [ms] DJ Database

it's getting there day by day

Part of my original hopes included crawling the Facebook/MySpace/SoundCloud/Twitter URLs for our artists to pull in dynamic content from there. For example, I'd like to index events from FB/MySpace, and have members be able to pick a city and date to see all artists that have announced that they'll be playing there that day. Or index Twitter/Facebook posts and have the last 5/10 displayed directly on their artist profiles or in our homepage for your subscribed artists, etc. This might be a pretty big undertaking because all the data may not be in a standard format, but it's definitely not impossible. I still want to make this place more polished before I start taking on another huge project

It's very well done and much more user-friendly. <i'd just add a "View all" at the bottom too.

    2. precious system - the voice from planet love / running back records

    5. danito & emill de moreu - puedes tocarme / tapas recordings
    6. johnny d - point of no return (original mix) / 20:20 vision
    7. siopis - really love ya / get physical
    8. dennis ferrer - hey hey (dub mix) / objectivity
    9. dennis ferrer - hey hey (vocal mix) / objektivity
    10. spiritcatcher - future fools / systematic
    11. dualton vs mask - troubadour (original mix) / viva
    12. la roux - quicksand (neil quigley remix) / no label
    13. plasmic honey - jungle (martinez remix) / sci+tec
    14. giorgio roma - every possibile mistake / young odds
    15. fet et moi - paris is for lovers (vocal mix) / white days
    16. uncle - heavy drug (steve mac dub) / surrender all

    thanks

I also just realized it might not work on the podcast bot, so that's something else I'll need to check

    Re: [ms] DJ Database

We don't need to tag threads anymore... [ms] does it automatically now

If you type an artist's full artist name in the thread's title, they should be automatically tagged! For example, adding "john digweed" to the title will tag him, but just "digweed" won't. There will be a few occasions where it won't be able to find a tag, but the large majority should work ok.

I spent some time yesterday to patch 3 or 4 bugs, but I ended up breaking the thread tagging during new thread creation

This has been fixed now, and you can now search/tag an artist during new thread creation. Huggie, thanks for pointing it out

yea but to get more traffic to the subscriptions, it'd be worth it to get it more face time rather than the CMS alone, don't know how many people actually just go there.
