The Zabiela set is approximately 6 weeks old (it was recorded this New Years just passed) and Switch vs. McGuyver is a few weeks old, and Mal Chia's is from December 2004.

hey, Grant, i was splitting your Lot 33 set(256kbps VBR) into CD size mp3's and by accident saved them as Constant 192 kbps bit rate... in your experience, does that actually take away from the quality or is it all the same to a human ear?

Yes, it does make a noticeable drop in some areas - basslines tend to be more muffled, and high-hats get a bit squelchy. 256 to 192 is not that bad though... I don't think you should worry too much about it. You can tell between 256 and 192; but between 256 and 320 I'd be really struggling to pick it.

The audio quality on my 2003 Lot 33 original is not that great to start with I don't think so it probably won't hurt too much in that specific instance. I was using a very different setup for recording sets at that time. If it's the 2004 Lot 33 set then that's a bit different.
