    Re: Fabric Closing

Everyone is different, but I find alcohol really boring.. it doesn't do much for me and it gets expensive. It sort of works at a bar, but not at the parties we are discussing here. I know that some people can pull it off, but there is no way I can keep drinking for 7-10 hour with Digweed in charge..

In my experience the fun to cost ratio in psychedelics (psilocybin, lsd) is the best.. 7-8 hour journey with minimal hangover. Perfect for marathon sets. mdma is okay too, but I am not a fan of the hangover and its only a 4 hour deal.. its a once or twice per year thing for me.
It breaks my heart when I see people taking it for 2-3 days straight.. or they just overdose because more=better.

There has to be a way to educate the young on how to properly handle drugs. If it wasn't such a taboo subject we can do a much better job at preventing situations like this..

TBH I'm not that fussed. The best night I had in there was in 2001 for Digweed and that wasn't that great. I've just never got the hype around the venue. Though, London clubbing has taken a battering in the last 10 years. Studio 338 burnt down last month as well.

                          Hi Di.

I think it's a shame it's closed in the way it has. If it was unsuccessful and they couldn't anyone to go then so be it. But it was well run and a success for 17 years, no mean feat.

A political decision and it stinks
