    Is mercuryserver shutting down?

    Hi.

    Haven't been working for me for months... Today it suddenly works!

    Are you shutting it down?

                  I can only access it via Chrome. If I use Firefox I get a funny page with lines of code on it (when I log in). So can't see any threads, messages etc

                  However - it is fine through Chrome

                      I get that if I am not logged in , I am normally always logged in so didn't know this until i left the country.

                          I switched back to Chrome and always log in - works fine know.

                          Not logged in or in Firefox all these lines saying
                          " PHP Warning: Illegal string offset 'userid' in ..../includes/functions.php on line 589"

                              Been working fine here on Firefox but I remain logged in.

                              I think those random code snippets appear when making a post or starting a thread, but nothing that breaks the site.

                              And certainly none of this is major enough to indicate the site might be shutting down.

                              Let's not have any knee-jerk reactions here, feels like every couple of months we get a scare ...

                                  It wasn't working properly for me for a while, then I finally updated from Snow Leopard to El Capital... and now everything works!

                                                          It's not even consistent, I only get it on some threads and they vary. and I have to be signed to get anything.
