The past 12 months or so, I have come to terms with streaming & not being able to download all my music. I prefer & will continue to download live sets & podcasts where possible, but I'll also stream what I can't download from Pocket Casts & Soundcloud. I pay for Soundcloud Go which provides higher sound quality & pay for the Pocket Casts subscription.

I think we're headed for all streaming eventually.

I really sincerely hope I am dead before that happens. You do realise that by doing that you are handing over ownership of all music to streaming sites?? And you are paying them for the privilege of listening when and how they want you to listen. This makes me feel so sad.

For me I probably have far, far more music than I can ever listen to. But I want future generations to be able to collect music the way I have and enjoy the way they want to , not on what huge streaming sites who rely on artists efforts and pay them a pittance dictate. There is so much wrong with this from the ground up.

I am more than willing to pay for music. And I do buy Cds vinyl and digital and play them when and how I like. I am not going to pay to have anyone tell me how I can play it .

Actually it's in human nature to collect so hopefully you are wrong.

What do you play your streamed music on ???

I'd prefer to pay for the service & not miss out on music which doesn't become downloadable. Really, streaming the music is no different to downloading it, other than not being able to change ID tags, album artwork, manipulate sound levels etc. It's available when I want it & means I don't need to worry about storage. With mobile plans providing such big data plans, I don't ever worry about exceeding my quota.

When driving, I use Soundcloud on my iPhone. When at work, it's my laptop with a dac/amp attached for improved quality. At the gym for the most part I listen to downloaded music, using a Cowon Plenue D. If I decide to listen to a podcast off Pocket Casts, it's my LG V30. When out & about, LG V30.

All bases covered.

I only listen to dj sets that are downloadable, if its not downloadable then I just miss out, and honestly Im ok with that. My fav DJs tend to offer downloads often so Im still good As long as I have Hernan, all other DJs could stop downloads and I still would be fine

- Sure I do, but I have to wait another week. Having been in the USA I have to be totally isolated (even from my family). So I'm living in a kind of closed annex next to my house. It is not bad, I have all the basics that I need except the contact with my wife and my daughters whom I only see 10 meters away: ((
I also cannot enter the study or access the equipment inside my house. When I'm done, and I'm going to do the same quarantine that you all do, I will.
