There are plenty of other DJ's who are as good. I've never really got the whole Digweed hero worshipping.
I haven't either. I have seen him quite a few times and the only times I have really enjoyed him was the last two. Even then he was very good, but not great. I have certainly seen a few that were a lot better.

That's SASHA. He obviously sucks bad (because of personal issues, etc.) and his fans keep posting pictures with I HEART Sasha, pictures of Sasha peeing (no in-joke), lists of t-shirt brands Sasha's been wearing.
Today, I like 60% of what Digweed plays, I don't pretend he invented progressive house, trance, epic house, tribal and the melodic techno he's playing nowadays. And I don't even like prog anymore, David Morales, Tenaglia and Deep House (REAL Deep House, not Jamie Jones) are my main interests.
But John and Sasha (and Seaman, Rampling, Tomiie, Fortier etc.) are still special and unique to me.
yup…diggs is proper stuff and has lots of fire stuff, but didn't imagine that i would move away from his sound... well 14yrs isn't really that quick, i don't even feel right writing this as his beirut 2004 set came to mind instantly…and many others, but honestly i have his latest Live cd and haven't even played yet…seems like all went down after london,,,,and probably after bear weatherall and coyote and few others came into picture…and what range they can go with their sets other than the typical moved me more towards that type of sound
will always have a spot for his older sets and seeing him vagabond it was one of the best nights in music for me, but don't get pumped for his live sets like i used to anymore..my 2cnts i guess
I loved all them DJ's too. The Sasha love/hate thing is quite interesting. I stopped listening to his sets a long time ago, because I have found them boring, however the last few times I saw him I quite enjoyed his sets (maybe down to good drugs). Funny thing with Sasha sets, they are always more popular retrospectively.
That covers the time he was playing the more tech house stuff, because I am not a lover of tech house.I will jumped on here. But for me with Digweed it was that he wasn't technically that good . It used to take ages for him to get underway and there was the odd train wreck . It could have had something to do with the fact that he wasn't doing long sets in Australia either so I really noticed that it took him ages to get into it and then he stopped He has done a couple of good longish sets in the last couple of years, and he has also been playing a more progressive style here. I would definitely go see him again, but not expect to be blown away. But there is nothing wrong with just enjoyment
