I'm considering applying to one of those sweet death associations. Why is everything so complicated?

One year ago today I started runing. Since then I have run 2581 miles, 510 runs, missed 44 days an am curently ranked 49 out of 70,669 globally, in Strava's monthly mileage challenge. I never imagined I would be getting out of bed at 5am to run 10 miles to work. LOL

              great man!!!
I did the same like 12 years ago, and continued since then until a couple of months ago..
I had to quit due to a pain in my knees. Now I´m into spinning (just the bike, no gym) and every once in a while, I do a little running (half an hour or so).
              It´s a spiritual thing!

Re: Too old for Random T**ugh,s

Seems a bit extreme to run that much - no doubt it's been positive overall but it really is rough on your knees, back, joints. Anyway, I run before and after I workout, but only a couple miles. I used to run 3.5 miles a day and 5 on the weekend but I lose too much weights when I run that often. But yes, congrats, very cool to be fit and all.

I had loads of foot, leg and knee problems. Rehab Works told me to stop running on several occasions Even though I would struggle to walk in the mornings, I ignored them and ran through the pain and came out the other end. I'm averaging 90 miles a week and today completed my first Marathon.

Congrats on your running success dude, that's awesome. I started running about two years ago and fell in love with it. My shins however did not enjoy it. I've been through hundreds of dollars of different kinds of running shows, gait analysis, etc, and the most I can do is about 2.5 miles, not more than three days in a row before having to take several days off. Frustrated with this scenario, I bought a road bike and cycling is my new addiction.
