... for some reason I thought of some rock bands in the 70s-80s who allowed people to tape their live concerts, and share.. but I guess its a little more complicated with edm now since there is a lot of people involved in making those tracks, etc.
From what I've seen most of us here really like his work.. so why not share the love ?
To be honest, that is inevitable.. the only reason it hasn't happened yet is because cell phone makers use shitty mics, and even if you record an extended clip, its pretty much useless at that kind of decibel level. There are just a few phones out there than use HAAC mics that can handle the noise levels without any significant distortion. Eventually there will be more phones/devices like that, and you will get more people recording stuff...
They will have to ban smartphones from the shows if they don't want anything recorded.
I used this: Amazon.com: Nokia 808 PureView Unlocked Phone with a 41 MP Camera with Carl Zeiss Optics--U.S. Warranty (White): Cell Phones Accessories
@ 360p for a smaller file size, and I brought two batteries with me.
The whole point of this was to let people who couldn't go, get a feel for the night.. and of course for my personal enjoyment and memories from the night.
I did exactly that, just to test it out and see how it sounds.. extracted the audio track from the mp4 clip, and then converted it to MP3 using foobar. Played with the EQ in foobar and found this to be best

Here are 15 mins from the first hour in mp3, its not great.. but I am listing to it right now, and its usable if you just want to get a feel:
.. i guess i kind of wanted to see how it goes without having to hide
