Me and my friend hired out a club and hosted our own night last Friday (not an easy thing to do when this whole town is either r and b or chart music).
We were both dj'ing on the night, but we also agreed to let a local lad dj - this guy unfortunately has Downs Syndrome, but absolutely loves music so we agreed to let him do the 1st hour, just playing chart stuff off of cd's, no mixing or anything.he absolutely loved it, and the delight on his face really made the night for me.he played really well too, had people dancing and set it up nicely for me to take over from him.
His family were telling me that something like this would literally be one of the highlights of his life, so we are really glad we obliged.
When he finished my friend and me dj'ed all night and had a great time, managed to make a little bit of money back on the door too........happy days!!!
