Another thing that saved baseball, and the main thing imo, was Cal Ripken, Jr's bid for Lou Gehrig's consecutive games played record. That brought a perception of loyalty and heroism back to the game and for a minute people could look at someone who was the antithesis of greed.Originally posted by remoh

I think only time will tell but the NHL screwed themselves for going on strike. I think a lot of people could care less if hockey came back or not.Common Sense is not Common at all.Comment
