My Mrs. will never be into prog/house or whatever no matter how hard I try. I tried to concince her with drugs, sex and even with violence but no go so far. She still prefers U2, the Corrs and Alanis Morisette and this will never change. Oh well...you can?t agree on any subjects in a relationship I guess.

I think most females, IMO and experience are into the fluffy music with vocals at 1st (this is not a general statement, just what I have experienced) but gradually do come around when they realise there is more out than that twat from holland and Oakie. My last gf always liked EDM, but 1st told me her fave dj was Fairy Corsten. Now she is a HUGE Sasha and Digweed fan, more so than the cheez dj's. I like to think I had summing to with it. Who knows.

I have to say lots of females just do get it or just dont get into it. I know there are a bunch of females on this board that really dig Prog House but as far as my female friends go they like the fluffy/cheesy/radio stuff. I make mixes for my friends and I always get the same comment from the women. I want a mix with all vocals or tracks that I can sing along too. A good example would be stuff like Ian Van Dahl When I make Progressive mixes I never give it to them because they just say its sounds too repetitive and there are no lyrics. Anyway, thats my take on it.

how can you get mad at a statement based on MY experience of females I have met in an area in which I live? Thats why I said in my opinion and experience, and then followed it by saying I am not making a general statement. I do know alot of females that like progressive music, but also most of them started out liking trance and breaks because thats the majority of what is pushed in this area. You and the energiser are taking offense to a statement that is in no way directed at either one of you.
