Re: Desyn Masiello 11-26-2005 Melbourne 2 1/2 hour set

I downloaded this set. Found the quality to be not too much to my liking. But wanting to hear it anyway. I used a bit o compression and eq in the file and then burned it to cd's. Sound is pretty good now.

Re: Desyn Masiello 11-26-2005 Melbourne 2 1/2 hour set

I've had to take the file down as I'm about to blow my monthly data transfer allowance. 40gig gone in only 3 days, thats about 300 copies of the set so I hope everyone who downloaded it can help get it out to others.

I may put it back up when it resets, but I'm not sure when that'll be

Re: Desyn Masiello 11-26-2005 Melbourne 2 1/2 hour set

ok, now that i've found out that desyn's DC gig is cancelled I'm listening to it. sound quality is subpar, i agree, but it's a phenomenal mix.

this is the definition of bittersweet.

Re: Desyn Masiello 11-26-2005 Melbourne 2 1/2 hour set

seriously, not one of you who downloaded this set could return the favor and up it for others to grab? I put 3 yousendit links up that are all dead and not one person has the decency to return the favor and save stu's server from getting slammed. Damn I didn't realize the selfishness around here!

Spot on Ben.

Maybe we should just pull this section offline for awhile until people can play nicely

The sleepers have awakened. Users and Sharers. Thats what its all about.

I'll share once I get my friend back in to forward my ports. I don't know how after my reformat a week or so ago. Such a pain!

Re: Desyn Masiello 11-26-2005 Melbourne 2 1/2 hour set

I don't really like Desyn so I never read this thread until now. My overall impression is that some guy uploaded the sets and they expired, thats unfortunately how it works. Then some people wern't quick enough so they decided to request the set, which is against the forum rules (soulseek seems to be the solution for most people). I don't see what the deal is, if someone decides to upload a set, thats up to them. The forum seems to work well enough with about 10 users regularly putting themselves out to provide music for the community, noone has a responsibility to do it.

edit: Just noticed that this is my 500th post, and probably my first arguementative one
