Ok I give you that music is influential and that people will try to replicate the "image" by wearing the clothes, talking the talk etc. But if you guys can sit there and say that by listening to rap someone will all of a sudden go out and kill someone because "it's cool" you are full of it.....it has nothing to do with the rap....people make their own decisions. If that person decides to get so involved in the scene that kiling is now cool to them, that was their decision.
If someone listens to rap and how killing is cool, but then turns the radio off and carries about their day abiding by laws, it is also their decision
It is like stereo typing EDM....ok you listen to electronic music, so you do drugs. Wrong, that is someones choice to make.....not all of us that love the music do drugs.

right on. i wasn't trying to say rap music makes people kill people. but some of the messages and attitudes in rap, are CLEARLY reflected upon societies youth. i'm not speaking of extremes, but just fact of the matter. the hip hop culture is very prevelant and there are many unique aspects about it that can be seen from a mile away. i wasn't going as far as sightless to say those people don't have ambitions/intelligence/etc etc, im just saying young people who are easily influenced often take messages heard in music too far. i hate goth shit worse then i do rap.
edm and drugs, hmmm, how many people here do drugs? I bet a decent percentage.. but not everyone.

So came back last night...

I used to live in the ghetto when i was in college akron ohio and really started gettin into rap....then i moved to florida and totaly changed and got into edm....
but wehn i was into rap master p was my favorite....he had the best beats imo...hellova producer as well.

again you are stereotyping....not everyone in that scene is like that. Yes I know that people do all of the above mentioned things....I just get frustrated hearing people say that "all people" are that way.
we as a scene are stereotyped as well...doesn't it frustrate you to think as soon as you tell someone you listen to house or whatever style you listen to, then thinks "oh you do drugs or you must be gay or you must be a gino"
