i love it how the most powerful person in the world, the president of the us is directly responsible for what happened in the week after katrina. its not like he had time to clear out a month of his schedule and focus just on that directly when he heard there were issues because he was sitting on his ass. this is why the government has subordinates to the president and that is supposed to be THEIR JOB to handle these things. maybe everyone should be screaming that "michael brown (the director of FEMA at the time) doesnt like black people". but that wouldnt be as catchy since everyone loves to hate on the president anyway. shit if ghandi was in office at the time kanye would have said the same thing.

From a world perspective, most of what he said there was true.! Why do you all hate him so much for saying it.?? History seems to have proved him right!! He may be an asshole for other reasons and I hate his music, but who really thinks George Bush gives a shit about any poor people let alone black poor people !! And yeah, we got the white people looking for food and the black people looting footage.

Because of two reasons:

1. There's a place and time for everything: the relief show is about getting money for the victims, not about voicing a political agenda.

2. There's a place and time for everything: the MTV Music Awards is a show where you can start every single sentence in the first person singular, a relief show isn't.

very true peloquin, there are some very great artists out right now, such as: lupe fiasco, talib kweli, dead prez, zion i, i can go on for days. and like someone else said earlier kanye spoke the truth about bush....at least he had the balls unlike some other people who are trying to be all PC. the way i see it is he is arrogant becuz he feels his music is that good, whats wrong with that. its good to have confidence in yourself. but thats my opinion, i myself wasnt expecting everyone on this bored liking him. but i know there are a few who would like to know how is new album is. i still gotta say its freaking sweet, i cant stop listening to it.

rap has been sucking for years. buying pretty much any rap you hear nowadays is like sucking corporate dick.

there's been a few cool underground mcs like mf doom, immortal technique, and a few others that have come to light in recent years but they are such a minority in today's "ringtone rap" world.
