great analogy, comparing intros of a set to the anticipation/climax towards nookie gotta go icehouse - dont believe anymore [gough + snape remix] too. love the song. anything with originality is great. throw some film excerpts, along with ambient pieces, not so much big tunes i.e. invisible inc - stars, but obscure downtempo tunes/records. i think gerrard did something of the likes in his kiss set early this year?

not saying it's the best...but I really like the beginning of Pako and Frederik's Atlantik Breakers mix

the year he won #1 dj from dj mag, and broadcast his ceremony or whatever from bedrock on his kiss show, like nov 5th or something 2001 i'm thinking. anyway, some girl introduces him as #1 , the crowd screams like mad, he drops that Peace Division cut. I wet my pants.

....and i thought you didn't like any good music Jenks....

the intro was the month after from the DJ mag awards at Bedrock, the set was from the 3rd birthday the month after with Sasha, incredible night that was, Warm up from Cattaneo then 3 hours of S&D, fucking rammed in there though.

I agree this is a sick track to open set. I had to buy this record as soon as I heard the opening.

i think sasha rules the roost on intro's. Chiva chant to Beatiful monday on the glastonbury mix is awesome, but i really like the moonpark intro, can't remeber the track, but it was an unreleased edit or mix of one of the Airdrawndager tracks, into the Quest and the the dirty fours, brilliant stuff.

Pity for sasha its usually all downhill after the intro

also an honourable mention to Zabiela for the ALive intro-the number one
