Anyone got any good websites to look up for up coming event leading into WMC??? Clubs, dj's spinning at which clubs which nights....i know it a lil early but can prepare too soon...any help would be appreciated..

www.groovetickets.com has alot of the club listings and web sites to get advance tickets for WMC events. I used it last year and it had alot of good information.

Day parties are NOT to be missed.

Last year Proton Radio hosted 3 of them, no cover, even free booze and some of the hottest up+coming talent around.

Also check out Remix Hotel - you have to sign up (it's free) to attend but can do so the day of. The afternoon poolside sessions are incredible - imagine seeing Infusion, Greyarea and JXL all in the same evening!

So even if it's a chore to drag your still drunk ass out to these - go hear some amazing tunes, meet like-minded people in hassle-free environs and hey, a li'l sunshine is good for ya too.

I went to Ultra my first year as well and swore that I would never go back. Way too many fuking kids all kinds all fucked up. I did get to see Hybrid (live pa), Junkie XL (live pa), and RITM (live pa) all in one day which was awesome. But it didnt make up for it. Save your $60 and go to a day party instead.

Agreed. Went my first year and have never had any desire to go back. I would rather see 1-2 people for 5-6 hours that 20 people for .5-1 hour each. Plus they put some crap up on the main stage!!!! Except S&D, of course, I heard they went off on the main stage last year. I saw them at Mansion later that night so I don't feel that bad.

not true.... the ultra is pretty cool it gives you a a chance to sample many different djs and different sounds in one day .. i missed it last year because i partied the night off the day before...but ill try to make it this year or maybe ill make it to space fest....

just a heads up to the WMC virgins....it's all about the day parties.

The nights are a fucking mad house and you end up waiting in line forever. But the day parties are spread out all over the island, are usually free, and give you a chance to actually hang out and talk to some of the top jocks and up-and-comers.

oh....and there are usually tons of chicks in bakinis.

the night parties are were you really get to experience the club vibe and the djs ...granted they are madhouses (my girlfriend almost had her bigtoe broken by some fat f#@$) it's still a great experience... i havent bee able to make it to many day parties but this year i will....

my advice to WMC noobs.... go to as many day parties, clubs and festivals as you can..... its a great experience and you can always sleep on the plane !!!!!

I've never been to one, but I definitely want to go to it this year... I just need to find a buddy to go with, because I'm not going alone. (that'll be tough, because all my friends are cheap broke bastards)
