actually working on something, semi-autobiographical of the Florida EDM scene in the early 90's to mid-90's. I was around when the US-prog scene began in Gainesville and Orlando and was involved with Simon's, Firestone, The Edge, Zen Festival, Groove Jet, Eros Euphony and Balance Promote Group/Balance Record Pool.

iirc.... I know one of the ex founders of Mercuryserver i.e. algorithm was in gainesville right around that time. maybe you guys know each other. his name on ms is algy

But one of my real regrets was not being able to hang out with you more than we did in the little time that we did. Everyone has nothing but praises for your hospitality and I would sure love to experience it one more time.

First Street Mafia is our close-knit crew of friends ... or chosen family if you will. the house where the afterparty was held this weekend (which is located on First Street) has hosted many a crazy party over the years and has rightfully became our headquarters.

clint and i were talking on the way there friday nite. he was expressing about how cool it was to actually meet people from a message board. i told him how i'd met others from ms during some of my travels and always hit it off well with them. and truth be told, with no other genre of music would people who'd never met each other besides typing on a computer actually get together to listen to good music, PARTY, and pretty much live with each other for even a night, much less 3 or 4! like i said, i'd had good luck hanging out with other ms'ers and even had offers of a couch to sleep on, but even my expectations were completely blown out of the water! the others involved this weekend have gone into detail about what it was like. i'm not really that good expressing myself, but i feel very fortunate to have this music in my life, as well as MS! this weekend was a none to subtle reminder of that.
i really don't know what else to say about this music and mercury server, it's just a feeling!!!

It was not only a pleasure for me, but the rest of my local listeners to meet you guys and witness your individual talents first-hand. As the saying goes, there aren’t enough hours in a day….that is even more evident now that you have all left. Between my demanding work schedule, my baby sis giving birth to my nephew, and my mom’s birthday, I don’t even know how I managed to participate in this past weekend’s venue! All I can say is that it was worth every friendship made to later maintain, and then some! LoL!

Steve Graham, it was an honor and a pleasure beyond my vocabulary to meet you M8. Listening to those you hold in high regard can sometimes be disappointing, but not this time. You played some tracks that would derail a train and I can’t wait to see what you come up with next time!

Steve James….if you get down with your partner the way you did this weekend past, pharmaceutical companies need to bottle you up and out-sell Viagra! Anyone who can lay down musical law the way you did for 12 hours earns mad respect and love, no matter where they came from! Mad props for bringing the MS crew down for a weekend burned into our memories as one of the best we’ll ever encounter. I’m left speechless and that says a lot. You have earned our respect.

Jarbel and PickleMonkey, I must say I had a FUCKING BLAST hangin’ with you guys! You 2 Fucking rock, dude! I had some really good talks with you both and have learned a lot I will take with me as I continue my course. I’ll tell you guys this, we need to execute a venue on your turf and meet the crew that holds you in such high regard. I wouldn’t miss it if my funeral was that day, just let me know when and where and I’ll handle the rest on this end!

Thanks again to FSM & MS for all the hard work (and play!), and time that all of you put in to enriching our lives. Without it, experiences and memories like the one we have from this weekend would never occur. Collective beats create the music, music sets the tone; so long as you lay it down like that, we’ll never dance alone! Guys you all look really GREAT on those pix...thank you for sharing this memorable moment. I am glad I put some faces to some names, its nice to know who looks like what, and you all look fantastic, it is indeed an amazing [MS] family...

Almost all of you live in the U.S., so I will have to wait for the opportunity to get there. But there is no exception for Tom coz he lives few hours flight from Lebanon...hoping to meet you soon in Europe Tom.
