that was actually the second time the cops drove by. they didn't stop so i don't know if they ever really saw me.
and i got the idea from a pic i saw after katrina when a guy in baton rouge was hovering about 4 ft off the ground during that storm. but he didn't have any rain to deal with and he had some pretty strong sustained winds to play with.
in all it was a learning experience. i know now i need a field with no trees to block the wind. and i need to prefab my cape/tarp contraption instead of grabbing a roll of duct tape and running with it. so until next hurricane season...
