Re: Lost Season 5
I'll tell you what, the show never ceases to amaze me. Just when I think I'm starting to understand things, they completely rip the rug out from under me.
...and I love these little things they throw in to highlight the fact that there is actually some method to the madness, that they aren't just making it up as they go. That New Kids on the Block lunchbox that Kate stole, and that Jacob bought for her? that's the same lunchbox she used as a time capsule and buried as a kid back in season 1. Brilliant.

Re: Lost Season 5
Maybe they all share the same grand-grand-grand-...-grandfather, who used to lie in the shadow of the statue.lol! In all seriousness, though, the "daddy issues" thing has obviously been a prominent theme in a none-too-subtle way. I have the sense that this is going to end up being a bigger deal in the way this whole thing gets resolved, because otherwise it would just be lazy writing for so many characters to basically have the same type of demons bugging them, and the rest of the show is written too well for that to be the explanation...Leave a comment:

Re: Lost Season 5
I've got a great idea for a new character. How about they have a character who hasn't got Daddy issues. Kate, Sayer, Jack, Ben, Hurley, Locke, Jin, Sun and now Miles.Leave a comment:

I think S3 was the weakest season, they've since tighted up a lot and it's great.Leave a comment:

Re: Lost Season 5
Season 1 is still the best for me... I remember the dialogue between Jin and Sun when they spoken only in Korean... that was a pleasant surprise for me... not that I speak Korean... but it was very unique for prime time tv.Leave a comment:

Re: Lost Season 5
Dunno, it worked for me just he opposite. There was this craze, with everybody saying how Lost was the greatest show ever at the time of S1. I did not even bother checking it out, I did not like the concept of "series". When I saw a couple of episodes over the next couple of years, pretty much by accident, it started to look even more stupid. I mean there was this plane that went down in the pacific and "all of the sudden" there was this sixties technology and the Others and shooting each other and some crazy smoke monster thing.
Then I saw S4E1, which I thought was good. I saw the next episode next week. I am hooked ever since.
