I would have said the same about SOS. But last year they were one of my best nights and I'm really looking forward to seeing them on 7th Aug.

I understand why other people love Zabiela but I don't.

SOS - seriously havnt heard a live mix that has been any good. mostly hit and miss.

DJ Hell - what a bunch of garbage

Tiesty, PVD, ect ect - all trash

Zabilia - most of what i have heard is nothing i really can get into

Sander Kleineberg - this guy has to be one of the worst djs around...has a horrible taste in music

Steve Porter is someone that you have to see live to understand, he will blow you away live! When you listen to his live sets you have to have seen him enough to understand what he is doing live. It is a nonstop booty-shaking mix of music and he mixes all genres seamlessly.

Absolutely do not get, I could never get into his Balance either...
I could go on and on...

    but on the other hand
sky was pink and outhouse mixes are absolutely epic

LOL ... missed this thread while I was in ibiza - at least Sasha hasn't had the usual bashing people dish out.

What I can't understand that if people say they haven't liked what Diggers has played for the last 7 x years, then why bother to still listen to him and criticise ?

    2002 was Bedrock's 4th Birthday ... it's the 11th this year - so get over it !

I would say he's been diverse over the years and always gone for new music - can't see why staying loyal to Charlie May is a bad thing ... his productions are still bloody good.

For my part Lee Burridge has bored me senseless every time I've seen him. Also Zabiela was a lot easier to listen to live when he was a warm up DJ and playing obscure b sides - but he is still a talent. I'm not a fan of Fanciulli at all either.

I've really never been able to get into the minimal sound or what passes for the fabric sound ... plus anything approaching electro makes my stomach churn.

    For me it'd be:

James Holden-I loved him in the past, but I don't get his recent productions. It's just too "out" there for me maybe? Not sure. o.O
Joris Voorn-I still don't get the hype.
    Deadmau5-No comment.

That's all that comes to mind at the moment!

Yeah, The reason I gove Steve Porter props is becasue of his set he spun in Miami at the State back in 2006 I think it was. That dude proved to me that he is on his own plane when it comes to DJ'ng. The whole place was blown away!!! I have never heard a set like that since. I agree that most of the sets that have come out since were just average, but that night was unforgettable. Hell even Digweed was there that night, and featured him on his Transitions show 2 weeks or so later. Insane set!

You could compile a list like that for most of the popular DJ's

Them 6 hour sets at Gatecrasher where shite. His sets didn't build or flow at all. He would play some of the same records 2 or 3 times in a night. It seemed to me that as long as he was banging it out hard everyone was happy.

    Steve Porter
    Martin Garcia

I think I have downloaded every live set from these three and have tossed them out because I just cannot get into them. Tons and tons of people get them but I just don't.... I know if I saw them live it would be different but in-house, volume cranked up... nothing happens.

He plays some records Sasha was playing at the time. They sounded mediocre when PVD played them and amazing when Sasha played them.

I think Dave Haslem said it all in his book Adventures On The Wheels Of Steel (The Rise Of The Superstar Djs). Dave did an interview with Paul and went on to one of his gigs afterwards. His records where played in no particular order, he'd play the wrong side if the records accidentally, and didn't really have a clue.
