Where has Obama been? I think the US should be a little more pro-active about this mess in Japan. This could dump radio active material all over the world.

At least when the Tsunami hit Bush was all over it looking to help the Thais' and Co. Obama is picking NCAA Boys Basketball teams FFs.

My buddy who has lived in Tokyo since 05 finally took a train southwest this morning. The term "radiation wind" wasn't sitting to well with him. He said there is very little food or toiletries in Tokyo as well. Everything is just unpredictable at the moment.

I don't believe that the Japanese gov't doesn't know yet. I'm sure they are updated every hour, at least. The first explosion happened a few days ago. They are withholding information for sure. The media's job is to investigate and dig.

staying indoors is not enough when dealing with radiation. They should be evacuating to the south

Radiation has been detected 320 km away from the power plant.

The media is going to start talking about acceptable levels of radiation.

No there isn't any real hard data. I haven't been able to find any yet. Marc Faber explains that if there is a meltdown the Japanese economy will collapse. This is why they won't tell us exactly what is going on,
