i second that! his hard desert trance compilations were great!
and dj hardware had some good ones too!

Wore out that DJ Brian cd and Hardware's Mindcontroller too. Great stuff in this thread guys, defo gonna have to dig some of these out.

Good call earlier with regards to DJ Tiesto vs Junkie XL - Obsession (though I don't think Junkie XL was acknowledged then...). I pretty much unreservedly loved trance from 1998 - 2004, before I went to see a certain DJ, John Digweed, I think he's called? Now, as has been remarked, it all seems rather fast...
Planisphere - Moonshine & Chiller Twist - Stringz Ultd (Shelley Mix) stick out as other favourites back then.
