Re: The Fabric Series
Slam, Michael Mayer, Akufen, Surgeon are some of my faves. It really depends on what style you like I guess.
If I had to pick just one though, it would be Fabric 26 - Global Communication. I get back to it every once in a while since 2005 - doesn't happen with many mixes really! First part is downtempo/hip-hop/spacy broken beats (Marc Pritchard style), second part is deep house (Tom Middleton style) and it fits together perfectly in my opinion. You should really give it a try if you are into this kind of sounds!

Re: The Fabric Series
I always preferred the fabric live cds. Few of my all time faves were the Adam Freeland, Evil Nine, and dj Marky ones.Leave a comment:

Re: The Fabric Series
The must ones for me would be:
Fabric 12 - Amalgamation Of Soundz
Fabric 13 - Michael Mayer
Fabric 15 - Craig Richards (specially CD 1)
Really good ones:
Fabric 01 - Craig Richards
Fabric 22 - Adam Beyer
Fabric 25 - Carl Craig
Fabric 31 - Marco Carola
Fabric 35 - Ewan Pearson
Fabric 37 - Steve Bug
Fabric 49 - Magda
Fabric 50 - Martyn
Fabric 54 - Damian Lazarus (3/4 of this CD are awesome, he then drops some ridiculous tune that ruins what couldīve been a mix for the ages)
Fabric 61 - Visionquest
Fabric 64 - Guy Gerber
Fabric 66 - Ben Klock
Fabric 68 - Petre Inspirescu
All the other ones are also good, some better than others. To be honest I think iīve never listened to a Fabric CD I've disliked.
The Fabriclive series also has some good onesLeave a comment:

Re: The Fabric Series
The mixes I tend to enjoy the most from the Fabric series are those that are truly unique sounding. Usually within the first 15 minutes I know whether or not it's for me or not.
The usual techno sound puts me to sleep. Something more eclectic and unusual is what I personally expect from the Fabric series. Whether or not it delivers is personal preference of course.Leave a comment:

Re: The Fabric Series
Guy Gerber's is essential
Surgeon, Mayer, Ame, Carl Craig, Bug, Weatherall and Diggers of course.
Ben Klock/Sandwell District if you can cope with the toughness.
Daniel Avery's Live got good reviews.Leave a comment:
