    Keep well mate.

    Yeah this is a shite.

I have a clothes shop, been going 21 years now, not sure if we will survive this though, depends if my suppliers will write off a large chunk of the invoices or not.
Speaking to clothing retailers around the UK and Europe all in the same position.
Worse time of year for us, Feb we go into overdraft at bank to pay off the winter season to get the new summer stuff in, we then use March and April takings to get back into the the black at the bank to start paying the Feb/March invoices in May, June and July ready for the autumn/winter product in August.

So we have had £150,000 worth of stock delivered, then no business.
If we open in June, we will have maybe 8 weeks to sell a seasons worth if gear. But at what price? 50% off? 75% off to clear it?
We need the suppliers to say give us 25% of invoice value to stand a chance of being here. They need to go back to their factories and negotiate the same, and the factories with their suppliers too.
If we all do that we stand half a chance.

Looking at the US calculator it looks like $3400 for a couple with 2 kids each month.
Are you getting mortgage holidays over there? Card payment holidays etc.?

What about in Ireland Micko? They helping financially over there mate?

That is awful. I am sorry to hear that. My wife is still out of work with no end in sight here in Minnesota. We are still below 1000 cases so our peak is yet to arrive. I fear she'll be on the bench for a long time, but we do have unemployment for the time being.

My wife's dental office has suspended operations so she's lost her full income, but luckily she is getting about 50% of her income from unemployment now...

They are saying if you filed your 2018 or 19 taxes, you should be getting the direct payments, likely direct deposit if you used that on your federal return, in ~2 weeks.

"The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) issued a sweeping suspension of its enforcement of environmental laws Thursday, telling companies they would not need to meet environmental standards during the coronavirus outbreak.

The temporary policy, for which the EPA has set no end date, would allow any number of industries to skirt environmental laws, with the agency saying it will not “seek penalties for noncompliance with routine monitoring and reporting obligations.”

That doesn't even compute, how's the virus related to companies skirting environmental laws? I think I've read somewhere about them making (or trying to) abortions a non-essential thing during this too.

I meant that they are trying to keep afloat an already broken system. They should probably let it reset, but "kicking the can down the street" is what they've been doing for a while so.. here we are.

Even in these challenging times i find heartwarming all of those animals popping up on at the desert streets and there is even the sighting of some species in danger of extinction.. Very fair to them.
