                    Jane Jacobs: The Death & Life of Great American Cities

                    This book provided a lot of reasoning behind my infatuation with cities and pushed me into my chosen career path.

                            Carlos Castaneda's works should be required reading imo. There are twelve books in all and every one of them will totally reinvent the way you look at the world, no exception.

                            If you saw What the Bleep Do We Know or read stuff like The Four Agreements - Don Miguel Ruiz, Conversations with God - Neale Donald Walsch or Dan Millman's Peaceful Warrior series, just to name a few, then check out Castaneda - he's the original. Without him none of these other guys would have ever put pen to paper.
                            Imagination was given to man to compensate him for what he is not;
                            a sense of humor to console him for what he is.
