I love it. It's caused me no problems at all. To everybody that's having problems with SP2:

I have heard too many horror stories for me to install it just yet. I'll keep my PC up to date with all of the other patches, but I'll definitely give it another few months so vendors can produce drivers that function correctly with SP2 and any necessary patches come out. I hear about lots of people having display driver issues.

Windows XP Service Pack 2 is Microsoft's biggest cock up since Windows ME Love it.

When my friend updated it on her laptop she got the blue screen with the fatal error. She couldn't reverse it and now her computer is fried. It started automatically downloading on my laptop and I couldn't turn it off so I just shut down windows. When I restarted, I also had the blue screen. Luckily I was able to restart in safe mode and system restore. I want nothing to do with this service pack. I've heard more bad things than good and now I've completely turned off my system updates.

sp2 freakin sucks.
installed it and now any site i goto inside IE i get forbidden, even the fricken windows update site. checked securities and everything and i dont know wtf is wrong. gotta wipe everything once i get the cds from home. sigh. sad day. ;(

I haven't installed it. MS service packs scare me. I think I'll wait a bit longer.

worst mistake ever to install. Now i can't even get to windows explorer without a runtime error. Anyone else experience this problem. Pissed off, stupid microsoft

I haven't had any problems yet with SP2.. I have the firewall disabled and I'm not sure what you guys mean about the download block thing. I'm using Mozilla Firefox to browse the Internet.

My Java professor in my college has an undying hatred towards Microsoft and all their products LOL

I also haven't had any problems with the SP2. At least it fixes a couple of things in Windows, so that Windows are now one of the least voulnerable OS...

i installed it and haven't had any problems. i've also put it on a few other computers that i've done work on and it works flawlessly...
