yeah, it was the first of its kind. they had the best layed out format. Had pics of all the vinly, side a, b, c samples etc, I mean it was very well made for one of the first really legit online record shops. Really clean!

They massive e-mails were really cool too, especially when they started to go on "sale"...

I don't know, last time I saw him in LA he was in the DJ booth talking to Sasha.

Re: Your classic Essential Mix?

Ok listening to the 02 delta heavy e-mix ... I think it's really an issue of sentimentality ... this is such a huge big-sound set but it's amazing, I can so imagine the scene and the sound in a Melbourne warehouse.

Sasha's mix of Janeiro Positiva into Take Me Down ... I (IMO of course) haven't heard him do a melodic mix like that in his later sets. He still likes to rev it up and go for the crazy peaks, but those two tracks' melodies work so well together.

Re: Your classic Essential Mix?

this is just a lovely thread, that I went home and pulled out all my old vinyl and made a mix.

Im going to put it up in the members p & r section. Its slopply put together ahahha, but I had fun. It was very difficult as I had no idea where anything really was. I did my best.

I say we all do the same. Pull out your "sentimentality" tracks and put em' up!!

I will call it "They dont makem' like they used to" Dont be wankers, I wanna here you "older" members put something up (if you have all the dj stuff of course).

Re: Your classic Essential Mix?

That's actually something I was thinking of doing soon, hooking up my 1200's and just grabbing a stack of vinyl and going thru it.. I will definitely do it now you brought it up.

When I moved and packed and unpacked all my records I was realising all the tremendous music I have that never sees the light of day any more

I want to start a monthly night around here called something like "No CD's Allowed".. all vinyl, not serato vinyl lol.. but all vinyl.. classics

Re: Your classic Essential Mix?

ha, right on man. Been a while since I made a whole set purely off of vinyl only. Especial old proggy stuff. It was real fun.

Anyway, I'll put it up soon. You can do Pt2!!
