I would give my car (well, i know it's cheap but it's the only thing i can give) to see BOTH playing here.

I don't understand why some people try to make their points talking about Sasha.
I think Zabiela skills and music selection are enough to get into a music lover mind. The diversity of styles he uses, the amazing mixing skills, the live remixing of tracks with cdjs and efx. Obviously that's best if you see him live, i saw a crowd very reluctant to breaks driving crazy when he played at Pacha buenos aires, a prog-house crowd.. and he owned the place.

Sasha likes everyone. You take him wherever you want and I bet the crowd will love it. I enjoyed his music couple times live and he does magic.

So my point is, why argue? Zabiela owns, Sasha does too, this topic is about Zabiela, if you don't like it, click elsewhere and keep your keys away from here

Have you ever even used Ableton live? It does NOT automatically beat match for you, and even if it did, that is far from what mixing is all about.

besides, Ableton is a sequencing tool, you cant remix a complete track JUST using Ableton. But you already knew that, seeing as how you know everything else. Also, I'd love to know how you ALWAYS can tell if a cd is mixed one time live.

Chemical Beavis - Doesn't it tell you something when Top DJ's (Including Sasha) have taken a huge amount of interest in Zabiela's new and fresh take on our wonderful world of beats and breaks. the fact that Diggers and Sasha are STILL blown away by some of the stuff that Zabiela does live & in the studio says alot. If you don't like his style then fair enough, makes no difference to me.....but to say he's shit and his tune selection is poor is Complete bollocks and you know it.

satanbram - 1) don't start on Beavis coz you won't win.
    2) he's right, Sasha has known how to mix seamlessly since JZ was knee high to a grasshopper (i.e. very young).
    3) Involver was meant to be more about him re-editing all the songs on the CD with his own personalised take on them and YES using new and interest technology to produce it. Unsurprisingly he took SOME inspiration for this from Zabiela

NOW BOTH OF YOU PUT YOUR HANGBAGS AWAY

Then my opinion is you are listening too much into how the set is done and not paying enough attention to the music itself. Only today i listened to set i know was recorded live but you could not tell the difference betweent that and a set done on say, Ableton or for that matter a pc.

you can always hear if its a live..."one take" mix or not

So, you are given a cd, you have no idea how the set is mixed. Would you then not be able to make a judgment on this mix untill you know how it was recorded?

thats a strong point musical journey.....but for me a cd is much more interesting when its done in one take

Personaly satanbram i don`t really care where the mix was done, it`s all about the listen and what you yourself get out of it. Where or how the dj produced the set is not important to me as long as i get the enjoyment i crave from music. However, i would suggest to Chem, like i said in my earlier post, to go and see JZ live, he really did open my mind by the way he put tracks together.

making a mix in a studio takes all that magic away.

well whatever dude, you got your thing, i've got mine, anyway i'm tired and going to bed, goodnight

well you ARE from Tampa, of course you wouldnt get it, lol

j/k mate. If you see him live (if you havent already) you might change your opinion.
saw him live 2x with chuck c in fact and both times were blah, except the 2nd time when he dropped a couple breakbeat tunes for me!
