Z is boring, he's a good mixer but his progression is slow and sleepy. He doesn't use enough lyrics either. That's why hip hop is killing techno, it's using beats with lyrics. Give people what they want, because you're a superstar if you can please everyone.

people that go to clubs dont need lyrics. i danced for 4 hrs straight at zabs concert with no lyrics. so did the overly hot females....people have been djing without vocal mixes for a long time quit trying to be p-diddy in ibiza...

As for my Zabiela experience...I just had a 3 page argument with some bitch on TA about how Zabiela is better than PVD.

But anyways, if you don't like him, go see him live. My brother hated him, and so did my friend. I bought them tickets, and brought them, and now my brother is hooked like crack and same wiht my friend.

Go see. He will sign your stuff you pass him. He will pose for pictures. He will talk to you. He doesn't drink. He doesn't do drugs. He has NATURAL talent...

I remember when I saw him at Ultra this year for the fist time it was unbeliveable!!!! Loved the track he spun with the lord of the rings sample in it!!!! My Precioussssss!!!! I'll never forget that night!!!! , and I can't wait to do it agin!!!! I think he's one of the GREATEST!!!! :wink:

it's not only about beatmachting.....it's about twisting and turning sounds and beats...when you are mixing 2 or 3 records.....i'ts about all those things together....making a mix is doing one thing of a kind......its about your sounds and skills of a moment...express your feelings at a moment.......so you can never make 2 "live" mixes that sound the same.
making a mix in a studio takes all that magic away.

Lemon 8 is a master remixer!

Sander's sets were better during the Nubreed era, but I still enjoy his mixed albums. I haven't picked up Everybody 2 or whatever it's called yet, but I hear it's okay.

Matthew Dekay
Remy
Lemon 8 (doesn't DJ much)
Cross (haven't heard from him in a while)
Lucien Foort
Perry O'Neil (probably too cheesy)
Scumfrog (probably too cheesy as well)

As I said some people on this board could find these Dutch DJ's decent so don't go start ranting on them being lame/cheesy

And yes I know some/most people on this board think Sander K has lost the plot since the Nubreed period ...


And yeah .. sometimes I get a bit defensive when it comes to my country (bit tired perhaps)
