Found out the date of this set - Saturday June 23rd 2001, which means Diggers broadcasted it the following week ... if only he did that now !

A little earlier... The Beirut set had just been leaked earlier in the year, I was there October 2004. I guess close enough to 2005. I was expecting to hear the usual mind blowing Diggers set, instead I heard stuff that sounded like whale farts.

Actually that makes more sense Hypo .. Beruit and his Radio 1 Hotmix fuelled our expectations that year - you saw him Oct 2004 and I saw him Feb 2005 ... by pacha (Sept 2005) he'd started to move out of his Electro Blows phase

I assume that was circ. 2005 Hypo ?

He played an awful 4 x hours at Godskitchen that year .. I'd dragged people over there raving about how good he would be and he didn't play one decent track !

Fortunately he then played an excellent set at Pacha that summer for Renaissance that included his Beruit stuff .. but he must still have been carting a lot of those electro records around and the Space crew must have been going mad for it. Guess I got lucky.

yeh Ad .. there's tons of sets, but not that many where you get a few hours to see how things develop - in my mind 2000/2001 was also the pinaccle of dark progressive house.
