Feather has some good points but to me when I am typing as fast as I can and not really thinking about grammar and small mistakes I hate it when people miss the whole point of what I was saying and get caught up on a typo

if you mess up grammar and spelling, how can you expect us to comprehend what you're trying to say? Some of us are getting caught up because you're throwing screwdrivers into the cogs within our neural circuits. Personally, if paragraphs become incoherent and full of misspelled words, I don't bother reading them. It becomes more time consuming to understand what someone is trying to say by piecing together their mess.

i actually did a Google search for it...apparently nowadays it is a word, meaning "they are".

i will still not use it.

Huh? I can't tell if you're joking. You've never come across 'they're?' Like, 'they're at the pub,' 'they're on their way,' 'they're going down?'

'There're' is probably rarer and I'm not sure if that's even grammatically correct.
